I had a friend say to me the other day, “God isn’t always nice but He’s always GOOD!” God is a good Father and like any good father does He gives us unconditional love, support, protection and correction. Sometimes we need a course correction and its not always nice walking through it BUT its always good!

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

This is GOOD NEWS because Gods correction is a sign of sonship/daughtership! God is taking ownership of us and our future! We bear the marks of Christ! We are His children!

Galatians 6:17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

God Don’t Play Pity Parties

As a parent I don’t like to play pity parties and neither does God. I’ve had a few and He won’t talk to me when I’m stuck on pity. To be pitiful is to be prideful. PrideFULL and powerLESS! God has not given us a spirit if fear but of POWER, LOVE and a SOUND mind. When we’re pallin’ around with pity it will keep us stuck in the mud. We’ll find ourselves in a pretty low state of mental existence, where everything becomes about “me,” where we fail to see there’s a bigger purpose for our lives and its really not about self at all. We were created to dig wells not pits! When we become tired of mud boggin’ God will lift us out but we have to be willing to elevate our perspective beyond self.

Psalm 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit (aka pity), out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

Course Correction

He establishes our goings. Sometimes we need a course correction in order to get back on track with Gods plan for our lives. Thank God that He calls us His children and with that title comes all the benefits of belonging to the Father and His Kingdom.

Correction is a Benefit

Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it but correction is a benefit. If we didn’t have correction we wouldn’t have appropriate direction.

Think about it this way, you’re using Google maps for directions to a location you wouldn’t otherwise know how to find. On the way you take a wrong turn, what does google do? It issues a course correction so that you can get back on track towards your destination. Without the course correction you would lose your direction.

The Way Out is UP

The way out is always up! His ways are higher, His thoughts are higher. We have to go higher! As you read this I release a spirit of HIGH RISE over you! I declare you are a HIGH RISER in the spirit. You’re on a spiritual high rise, the destination is UP, UP, UP!

I’m reminded of a song, “going up to the high places, gonna tear the devil’s kingdom down!”

Let’s GO UP!

Micah 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

You are a High Riser!

When we go upward it leads us into new spiritual territory. God wants us to occupy new lands. We were created to take the land. One of the reasons the Israelites were hated was because God was giving them the land! Don’t allow fear to steal from you what God promised you!

When the children of Israel were brought to the promise Land they were afraid to take possession of what was rightfully theirs because of the Giants in the land. Out of all the people only Joshua and Caleb were not afraid.

Numbers 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

Numbers 14:9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.

Don’t be afraid of your future, stay the course, God is with you!!
