Life is the biggest race we all have to face. There is a God given grace for you to run your race at your pace.
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Light and Easy
Have you ever just been going along and seems like you’re making progress but then all of a sudden everything changes? You start feeling pressures closing in on you, the weight of life begins to feel crushing. Everything you try to control seems to be coming undone at the seams.
Well that’s exactly what I was experiencing. My first instinct was to let it crush me and just give up but I knew I just couldn’t stop short just because I wanted to. I knew what this was, this was the thief that wanted rob my joy, to keep my focus low and hold me back. A wise person once told me,
You never stop when it’s comfortable, you’ll never get stronger that way. Always push yourself a little further.
I knew I had to shift my focus. The bible says, set your mind on things above. So that’s what I started to do, as I lost myself in worship I began to hear what God was saying. I got a profound sense of lightness. While we wait on Him, He’s making us lighter. He’s making it easier!
I just knew it wasn’t something I was going to do, it was something He was going to do supernaturally. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. The weight is light, He is light. It’s hard when we try to do it but He makes it so easy. The enemy wants us weary but there is a supernatural key that God gives us in His word. The key is wait for weight.
When we wait UPON Him things get lighter! We begin to go UP! We will run and not grow weary, I mean I don’t know about you but I don’t think I used to take this verse at its word. I thought of it in a more figurative way but God wants us to understand He means exactly what Hes saying. There is a grace for a supernatural race where we can rely fully on him and not growing weary is actually possible!
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Psalm 34:5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
